These sessions are aimed at giving trainees the opportunity to cover either or both, off-road (Level 1/basic) skills or on-road (Level 2/urban) skills in a relaxed and enjoyable group environment. You can sign up for both levels in one day if you wish.
All training is free.
Our instructors are exceptionally patient and encouraging, moving progressively through the National Standards for Cycle Training.
The riding ability required for trainees varies depending on the course so please check on the individual course description to see what’s available in your area. If you choose the on-road Level 2 course you must either have completed Level 1 training or be confident you already have Level 1 skills. We do check this before going out on the roads! If you are unsure of your level, check the National Standards for Cycle Training syllabus.
So you'll need to be able to ride unaided, have a bike and we'll give you the confidence to master your local roads, whether for pleasure or commuting.
See below for upcoming courses or visit the Your Borough page to see if free adult group cycle training is available in your area.
