Bikeability Family is a brand-new free training package to help people cycle together. The training will enable families to plan enjoyable group rides, switch from driving to cycling the school run, help other family members to develop their cycling skills and grow their confidence.
There needs to be at least one child (under 16) and one adult on each session
The training sessions will be provided by fully qualified instructors and complement the Bikeability training available to schools across the your area.
Whether you and your family are relative novices to cycling or you all ride already but would like advice on specific routes (to school or friends, for example), your instructor will tailor the session to meet your needs.
Maybe you just want the confidence to take the family out on a weekend bike ride?
We have rides of different lengths around the area for you to practice.
Sessions are for up to 6 people from one family and at least one trainee must be an adult. Please be aware that where groups have very different ages or abilities, instructors need to pace training to suit the least able.
In most cases, all trainees will need to have a bicycle of their own.
Currently available for free for residents in Merseyside, Warrington, Manchester, Sandwell, Stockport, Rochdale, Oldham and Cheshire West and Chester, for courses in other areas please contact us
