There’s a change taking place on the roads of Britain. Many more people are cycling and as a result drivers need to become more and more aware of how to act around this new wave of vulnerable road users.
Increased travel costs and a desire to become more healthy are fueling a revolution on the roads. This situation presents new challenges to professional and non-professional drivers alike. In light of this, BikeRight! has developed a programme of cyclist focussed driver training courses designed to equip all drivers with the skills needed to deal with today’s multi-use roads. These courses provide a unique insight into the behaviour of vulnerable road users and compliment our portfolio of cyclist training courses that we have successfully run for over 10 years.
Our Safe Urban Driving course is designed for professional LGV and PCV drivers and is delivered by trainers approved to provide periodic training. The course is Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS) approved and covers the requirements for managing Work Related Road Risk (WRRR) and the Construction Logistics and Cyclists Safety (CLOCS) scheme.
BikeRight! is a Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) approved training centre - AC01580. The course can contribute towards necessary training for drivers who are required to undertake DriverCPC, and is FORS approved. Click here for more details >
