Eurostar Ashden Awards for Sustainable Travel
A total of 52 green energy organisations and programmes from 16 countries has been long listed for the prestigious annual Ashden Awards in June, which will celebrate 11 sustainable energy leaders in the UK and across the globe.
The organisations in the running for this year’s Ashden Awards are as follows:
BikeRight!, Les Bôites a Vélo, Loco2, Province of West Flanders, Mountain Wilderness, Reading Buses, Tapazz, University of Exeter, Visit Isle of Wight, Yomp.
Shortlists for each Award category will be announced in March, with Awards to be presented at a ceremony at the Royal Geographical Society in London on 11 June.
Winners will receive a financial award of between £10,000 and £40,000, a platform to promote their work and tailored support to grow even further.
Funders of the 2015 Ashden Awards include Citibank, the Department for International Development, Eurostar, the Garfield Weston Foundation, Impax Asset Management, the Coutts Foundation and the Waterloo Foundation.Downtown in Liverpool - Women in Business Awards
