Cycling Suits

Cycling Suits is an exciting project set up to assist organisations who recognise cycling as a viable form of transport for their employees and need assistance in increasing cycling use. Whether the aim is to increase cycling for commuting to work or as a form of transport for work related journeys during the day, the project will enable employers to implement the values and benefits of cycling, offer encouragement and actively promote cycling amongst its workforce.

Every organisation would like to improve efficiency, reduce costs and increase profit. Cycling Suits can help to deliver this cost saving by providing the employer with the tools they need to encourage cycling amongst its workforce.

 Why Cycling and Cycling Suits?

Cycling offers real benefits to employers over other forms of motorised transport such as:-

  • reduced travel costs
  • reduced maintenance costs
  • a healthier workforce means a more productive workforce: regular cyclists enjoy a fitness level equal to that of a person ten years younger. (Source: National Forum for Coronary Heart Disease Foundation, Sharp)
  •  punctual staff due to reliable and often faster commuting times
  • a more cost effective option to expensive car parking
  • offering a positive image to customers
  • reducing carbon footprint

With rising fuel and energy prices there is increasing demand for employers to provide facilities for their employees to cycle to work. Cycling Suits can help in meeting that demand and in realising the benefits for the employer, the employee and the environment.
