BikeRight! at Cornwall Festival of Cycling 2008.

This year's Cornwall Festival of Cycling will be back on the road between 28 June
and 12 July allowing everyone to re-discover how much fun cycling can be.
The Cornwall Festival of Cycling will be delivering 3 public Roadshows in Launceston, Truro and Penzance. . People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to come along and have a go on a range of unusual bikes, make a healthy smoothie by pedal power alone, try out virtual reality cycling, pick up cycle skills and speak to the team of experts about any aspect of cycling. There will be information on facilities and trails in Cornwall, as well as information on cycling in general, bike racks, cycling to work and much more.

All Roadshows take place between 10am - 4pm on Saturday's and start in Launceston on June 29th, travelling to Truro on July 5th and then Penzance on July 12th.

This year Festival will be delivered by the North West events management company, Pennine Events Limited, in partnership with Bike Right!.

The Festival also visits a selection of schools across Cornwall which will benefit Bikeability Cycle Training, cycling-themed lessons, participate in bike try-out sessions and workshops. This year the Festival will be visiting 3 Secondary Schools and 5 Primary Schools. The students will have the opportunity to learn about the health benefits of cycling, basic maintenance and safety and then actually have a go on some of the curious and surprising bikes.

The public roadshow will feature an exciting mix of entertainment, have-a-go activities, information displays and expert advice.

Costumed Penny - Farthing Riders

Juggling Unicyclists

Cycling Clowns

Dr Bike - Bike maintenance workshop - guidedsessions on basic bike maintenance at home and the chance to have your queries answered by experienced staff.

Cycle Smoothie - Pedal your way to a healthy drink by selecting your own fruit mix and making a smoothie using your own pedal power.

Computrainer - Try out virtual reality cycling for the chance to win a great prize - no matter what your ability level !

Cycle Skills Challenge - Use one of our supervised half hour sessions to test your bike handling skills.

Bike Try-Out Session - Take the opportunity to ride a number of different bikes in our
