Project staff - West Yorkshire

In partnership with Sustrans, we have recently won a 12-month contract to deliver adult cycle training and a bikes cheme for unemployed people and apprentices in West Yorkshire.  We are therefore recruiting a number of people to manage the delivery of this innovative project from a new base in Bradford.  

Project Manager

This role requires strong management and organisational skills and absolute attention to detail.  A thorough knowledge of Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale is essential.  We expect you to have managed a team to meet a range of targets in your previous job(s), and to have extensive communication skills.

Administrator

This role requires strong communication and organisational skills and absolute attention to detail.  A thorough knowledge of Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale will be an advantage.

Mechanics/Instructors

We are recruiting two qualified and experienced Bicycle Mechanic/Instructors to be responsible for building and issuing bikes to beneficiaries, and deliver bike maintenance training sessions.  This role requires strong communication and organisational skills and absolute attention to detail.  A thorough knowledge of Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale is essential.

Cycling Instructors

This is a wide-ranging role accountable to the Project Manager, requiring strong communication and people skills.  You will be part of a small team delivering adult cycle training at various locations throughout West Yorkshire, and providing bikes for job seekers and apprentices.  This role requires a passion for cycling and previous experience in working with West Yorkshire’s diverse communities.

Cycling Instructors - Rochdale and Merseyside

We are looking for instructors to service our new Bikeability contract in Rochdale as well as wanting to create a pool of instructors to work with us in Merseyside.

Ideally you should be NSI accredited, first aid trained, hold a current DBS disclosure and have experience of working with children and adults - although full training would be available to suitably qualified individuals.

Part time, term time, short term and freelance contracts are available.
