CPD Bikeability Plus modules

In this section you will find courses designed to enhance your management of quality and consistency within delivery of Bikeability Plus modules.

These one-day courses (covering multiple modules) will enable Instructors to meet there Bikeability Plus CPD requirements (as per The Bikeability Plus Delivery Guide).  All courses will run from 9.30am till 4pm, unless otherwise stated.

Balance and Learn to Ride

This one-day course will enable already qualified Instructors delivering the following two Bikeability Plus modules meet there requirements with regard to CPD.

Bikeability Balance:                      
CPD requirement is a half day’s training delivered by an ITO

The main aim ofBikeability Balance is to develop children’s balance and control skills in preparation for learning to cycle, and for participation in core Bikeability training in particular.

Bikeability Learn to Ride
CPD requirement is two-hour’s training delivered by an ITO

The main objective of Bikeability Learn to Ride is that more children are able to cycle going in to Bikeability Level 1, thereby maximising the training time available to develop Level 1 skills within those training sessions.

Ride Leader and Level 3 refresher.

This one-day course will enable already qualified Instructors delivering the following four Bikeability Plus modules meet there requirements with regard to CPD:

Bikeability Ride
CPD requirement is a half day Ride Leader course

The main objective of Bikeability Ride is to put learned Bikeability skills into practice.

Bikeability Bus
CPDrequirement is a  half day Ride Leader course

The main aim of Bikeability Bus is to demonstrate local cycling routes to school for parents/teachers/children.

Bikeability Transition
CPD requirement is a Level 3 refresher course

The main objective of Bikeability transition is to take advantage of changes in travel arrangements to embed a cycling habit.

Bikeability Parents
CPD requirement is Mentoring offered to trainees delivering to Adults for the first time

The main objective of Bikeability Parents is to enable trainees (parents and teachers) to gain the skills and confidence they need to ride their bike, in conditions according to the Bikeability Level achieved.

On show and Promo

This one-day course will enable already qualified Instructors delivering the following two Bikeability Plus modules meet there requirements with regard to CPD:

CPD requirement is a two-hour workshop

The main objective of Bikeability On Show is for parents to be more willing to allow their children to cycle.
