What if I have already been on a BikeRight! maintenance course?

You can still attend this course.  You will need to attend the all ten days of instruction. Your prior knowledge should help you to complete course assignments more quickly than others who have not attended any cycle maintenance training before.

Do I need any qualifications or experience to do this course?

No formal qualifications are required for this course.  You should have a basic knowledge of cycle maintenance, and be able to follow written instructions and take notes. 

Which qualification will I be awarded when I successfully complete the course?

You will receive a Level 2 certificate in Bicycle Maintenance on completion of the course.

Am I responsible for my own meals whilst on the course?

Please bring your own lunch, or there is a café on the premises.  Tea, coffee and snacks are provided free of charge.

Attendance requirement

There are ten days of instruction for this course. You must attend all these days.

Course length – covering session lengths and timings

The course days are 9am to 5pm. 

What equipment will I need to  bring?

Please bring proof of identity.

Please bring a pen and notebook.  All tools and equipment that you need will be provided by BikeRight!  

Do I need to bring a bike?

You do not need to bring your own bike as we will provide bikes to learn on in the workshop.  However, we encourage you to cycle to the course, and you will be able to work on your bike at some point during the course.
