Dedicated cycle training courses and equipment packages for the Emergency Services
Bikes provide an ideal vehicle for use in city centre areas where speed of response and ease of access are a key. In rural areas the use of mountain bikes can facilitate access to areas that cars can not reach.
In response to the increased number of officers on pedal cycles and mindful of their welfare and duty of care obligations, BikeRight! has developed a specific programme of cycle training courses and cycling equipment packages for emergency service trainers and officers who use bicycles in the course of their duty.
Working closely with a number of organisations across the country we have incorporated national emergency services procedures within the accredited National Standards for cycle training. We have also produced a pedal cycle assessor manual. This manual can be adapted for use within any police force, fire brigade or ambulance service in the UK.
