Bespoke mountain bike rides for groups

Whether you are looking for something different for a youth group activity, a company team building day, a stag party or kids birthday we can provide a unique and memorable experience on two wheels. Plenty of fresh air, exercise and good old fashioned fun abound!

We can offer half-day, full-day or multi-day mountain biking skills sessions for existing cyclists, those new to the sport or for people who just fancy some muddy good fun!

We develop routes and activities that suit fitness and ability and will tailor skills training, navigation and maintenance advice applicable to everyone’s level of knowledge and experience.

On a BikeRight! mountain biking experience you get more than a guided ride in beautiful countryside. You can develop specific techniques to improve your off-road riding experience and knowledge of cycling and the countryside, such as:

  • Ride rocky climbs and sweeping descents
  • Learn to track-stand
  • Techniques for front and rear wheel lifts
  • Correct braking techniques on loose ground
  • Body positioning and bike handling
  • Trail-reading and line choice
  • Navigation techniques and map reading tips
  • The countryside and mountain bike codes
  • Consideration for other trail users
  • Trail-side maintenance advice
  • And much much more…

We provide mountain biking experiences for the following groups and occasions:

Education enrichment sessions for schools, FE and HE institutions

The skills and experiences associated with mountain biking can easily be dovetailed in to many curriculum subjects – geography, geology, physical education, environmental studies and many more. As our courses focus on skill development, leadership and team building they are an ideal companion to other forms of study and activities.

Local Authorities, community outreach, community events

We work with many of these organisations and individuals and have additional experience with youth offender services where we take groups on mountain bike rides to help to build self esteem and show how they can get their kicks in a fun, and more importantly, legal way.

Looked after children’s groups

All children need care, support and the chance to develop both mentally and physically. All too often though, children in care don’t get the same chances as those who live with their natural families. A mountain biking experience with us can provide a break from their routine, giving an exciting and memorable event that will build confidence and self esteem.

Uniformed services, armed services and MOD personnel

Emergency services personnel often find that the use of bicycles in their work is more effective than cars or walking. In a lot of cases a bike can get you to an incident faster than a car and yet give the same access benefits that you would have on foot.

Health rides for NHS trusts

Many GPs and hospitals prescribe exercise as a means of treatment for various conditions such as obesity and mild depression. We are regularly called upon by NHS Primary Care Trusts to facilitate these health rides and run them both on- and off-road.

Youth and community groups such as Scouts and Guides

If you are looking for an exciting group activity for your youth, Scout or Guide troupe then look no further then BikeRight!. We can tailor cycle rides to suit age, ability, gender or needs and can include navigation skills and leadership mentoring in to your experience.

Cycling clubs and sports groups

We have led rides for cycling clubs on many occasions. Road clubs wanting to try out mountain biking, or mountain bike clubs wanting to enhance their skills and discover new trials.

Escape work and head for the hills!

We can provide your team with quality mountain bikes and equipment, transportation to and from the ride, mountain bike skills training en-route and off course plenty of fun and encouragement. We have some excellent and amusing ways to build team spirit, develop management skills, overcome morale issues and reward hard work.  Learn more...
