Assistant Instructor training course
The easiest way to kick start a career in cycle training is to attend one of our Assistant Instructor courses. The course is designed for those who want to work as part of a team delivering training up to level 2 of the National Standards.
BikeRight! was involved in writing and developing the assistant course on behalf
of the Cycle Training Standards Board (CTSB) and delivered a number of pilot courses around the UK.
Assistant Instructor courses last for 2 days and adhere to all the recommendations and principles of the National Standards for cycle training. We deliver courses at our Manchester base or can provide training for groups anywhere across the UK.
All participants must be regular and competent cyclists, and will be assessed on their cycling ability during the course.
The 2 day course is a mixture of classroom-based learning and practical activities, to practise and show competence in level 1 and 2 of the National Standards. Assessment is carried out on a continuous basis.
Participants who successfully complete this part of the course will be able to
deliver both level 1 and 2 when accompanied by a fully accredited instructor.
