Our Services
Duke of Edinburgh award scheme
We specialise in a wide range of on-road cycling and mountain biking activities – from bike maintenance, to bike skills, to running expeditions.
We are an approved DoE Access Organisation for the Physical and Skills Sections of the Award and work with schools, groups and individuals across the UK to help them organise their cycling or mountain biking training and expeditions.
We can work with groups aiming for Bronze, Silver or Gold Awards
Bronze - for the Bronze Award we provide basic bike maintenance, core cycling or mountain biking skills and basic map-reading and navigation
Silver - for the Silver Award, we take maintenance to another level, cycling/mountain bike skills to intermediate level and advanced navigation, including techniques for using pace and distance travelled to aid route-finding
Gold - for the Gold Award, maintenance moves up a gear to stripping and rebuilding a bike, advanced cycling and mountain biking skills, and advanced navigation, including the use of satnav devices.
We can provide advice for groups aiming to do their Award expedition by bike, on- or off-road, on all aspects of cycling. For example, we can advise on
- What bikes to use
- What equipment you need ..
- Appropriate clothing
- Choosing an area and picking a route
- And, lots more!
