BikeRight! wins Gold!
BikeRight! has been awarded the Gold Environmental
Business Pledge Award by Manchester City Council.
The Environmental Pledge Scheme was introduced through Manchester City Council's 2004 campaign, Challenge Manchester: 100 Days to a Clean City , where over 250 businesses pledged to improve their local environment. To continue this work Manchester City Council, Groundwork , Mersey Basin Campaign , ENCAMS and the Environment Agency have come together to expand the Pledge and offer services to support local business in its quest to improve environmental performance, achieve major cost savings and increase competitiveness.
BikeRight! won it's award through on-going efforts to reduce it's carbon footprint. These include staff cycling (of course!) to and from work, recycling of all paper, cardboard and plastic, keeping energy expenditure as low as possible and buying recycled products wherever possible.
