An acronym to wrestle with - By Liz
I have become a board member for the North West Women’s Enterprise Forum. It is a 3 year appointment.
The Northwest Women’s Enterprise Forum (NWWEF) was formed in 2004 by the Northwest Development Agency (NWDA). The board of the NWDA recognised a growing need for a women’s strategic forum to help raise awareness of women’s enterprise across the region and to influence stakeholders and partner organisations working in the enterprise arena in the Northwest. To this end its role is to act as a key strategic body helping to create an environment in the Northwest in which women have access to quality business support and training across the whole of the region.
The NWWEF is comprised of 13 voluntary Forum members whose task it is to drive policy-making activities and ensure good governance. The NWWEF serves as an interface between the key strategic partners at regional and national levels and has direct links to the business women’s community through its members and partners.
