Rochdale's New Cycling Centre Open Day

 

Saturday the 14th February 2008 is the opening for the new cycling centre based at Hollingworth Lake Water Activity Centre. The CTC in partnership with Link 4 Life (the local Leisure Trust) are holding an open day at the Lakebank site in Littleborough to celebrate this local and regional activity centre; which will now offer a range of cycling activities as part of its varied programme.

The open day will consist of a range of activities including led rides, security coding , information stands, pedal powered smoothie maker, bike training etc. 

All activities are FREE so if you have an interest in bikes come along on the day and bring all the family.

To take part in the off road led rides, that take in some of the bridleways around the lake, booking is essential through the centre. If you don't have a mountain bike and would like to have a go on these exciting rides there is a selection of bikes that can be hired free of charge. To book a bike or a place and to find the ride suitable for your age and ability tel the centre on 01706 370499.

In partnership with Trans Pennine Cycle Club , two led rides will take place one; is a family rides approx 20 miles , the second is a slightly longer 30 miles ride. Both will take in the sights and views of the West Pennine moors, just turn up with your bike and riding kit, both rides start at 1.00pm.
